History & Commitment
Cordova Public College (CPC) was established on June 1, 2005, through Ordinance No. 234, under the visionary leadership of then-Mayor Arleigh Jay C. Sitoy.
Founded as a community-based institution, the college was created to offer quality tertiary education at a low tuition fee, ensuring that academic advancement is within reach for every Cordovanhon. From its humble beginnings, CPC has served as a beacon of hope, transforming lives through accessible education and providing a platform for local students to excel in various professional fields.
Today, under the guidance of the local government and the Board of Trustees, CPC remains steadfast in its mission to produce self-reliant citizens imbued with a love for their community and country.
We are committed to fostering an environment of academic excellence, spiritual growth, and social responsibility. By continually updating our curriculum and improving our facilities, we ensure that our students are not only globally competitive but also deeply rooted in the values of integrity, service, and patriotism. Our legacy is built on the success of our graduates who continue to contribute to the socio-economic and cultural growth of our society.

To offer affordable and quality education, primarily but not exclusively, to the Cordovanhons with the end in view that education shall be within everyone’s reach. To provide tertiary education, technical, vocational and other practical courses.

Goals
The college undertakes to carry the different goals:
To foster, sustain and support the knowledge proficiency, and professional levels essential to employment;
To develop the capacity to grow into fully qualified professional leaders;
To cultivate the spirit of nationalism enhancing individual and social awareness of society and community; and
To inculcate a strong sense of commitment and dedication to any profession guided by faith and strong moral fervor.
Philosophy
The college is established in order to:
Incalculate desirable values, virtues, love and service for fellowmen for spiritual and moral upliftment, intellectual integrity, social and individual fulfillment;
